Requirements

1. We don't limit any qualification, year of production, country of production, as long as it is along the theme of our festival.
   However, we do not accept films that have won awards in other film festivals in 2010 or before.
2. Running Time
   No more than 30 minutes
3. Rights Clearance
   All copyrights of music, motion pictures, and any other artworks that appears in the film must be cleared before the submission.
4. The film must have not been released in the past.

Screening Process

• The awards nominees will be selected from the films submitted. Selection will be made based on the agreement of the screening jurors that are approved by the committee.
  _The jurors that are approved by the committee and the audience will vote for the award winner.

Nomination

• All the nominee will be contacted by E-mail and will be officially announced on our website in September, 2010. _
  Presentation of Awards
  The award winner will be announced and presented at the closing ceremony.

Hiroshima Grand Prix Award

• Cash Prize:300,000 JPY (about $3,000 US)
  Testimonial:A slate used in Hollywood, with the winner’s name engraved

• Submission fee: $20 per film
  Please make a payment by clicking the below button.
  You will receive a confirmation email from PayPal after the completion of your payment. Please print out the email and enclose it with your film.
  

A. Film

• We accept DVD format (Region-free) only. We will not return the DVD, we will discard it as soon as the film festival ends.

B.

• We would appreciate English or Japanese subtitle for foreign language film.
  If not possible, please enclose script/dialogue list of your film.
  If you fine either of them difficult, please provide the script/dialogue list of your language. Please be aware that there is a possibility that we cannot review the film depending on the language. In that case, we will contact you.

• ALL THE FILM SUBMITTED are subject to possibility of screening in the film festival-related events such as special screening. We will contact you in those cases.

• We will ask the filmmakers of nominated films to submit the materials below;

1. Copy of the master tape (Video format that we require)
2. Script/Dialogue list in original language
3. PR materials for the film festival including poster visual.
4. Photo of the director (x2), still photo of the shootingÅia few)
5. Synopsis
6. Please DO NOT send the original master tape. We will handle the sent tape with extra care, but we will not take a responsibility in any damage made during the shipping process.

• We will produce a best selection DVD. The contents will be selected from all the films submitted. The films not nominated for the awards are also subject to this selection. We will contact the filmmaker to notify in that case. We will discuss the copyright-related matter at that time.

• ALL THE FILM SUBMITTED are subject to possibility of use on websites and other media. We will contact you in those cases.
  
  *When the language in the film is other than Japanese, we will make subtitles for the film based on the final script. Please make sure to send the printed script. We will not accept handwriting.
